This assignment has 2 parts (USE THE FOLLOWING FORM FOR PART 1):
Proposal (Part 1-50 points): Identification of leadership project
Working with your instructor, identify a situation which you can/should improve through leadership
- This problem should be
- leadership (exercising your influence to make a change in someone/something)
- authentic (solves a real problem)
- moderately challenging (taking mom to dinner doesn’t cut it)
- accomplishable by due date, and
- identifies appropriate power type(s) and how you will use them
- aligns with your vision, mission, and/or values.
- You will submit a typed copy of page 2 of this document (on canvas), which includes a short background, one impact statement (SMART goal), your plan for using your power, and a short explanation of how this helps you accomplish your vision/mission.
- Tummons will evaluate your project based on the following system:
- Green light (50 points)- idea is sound, involves leadership, solves a real need, moderately challenging, accomplishable by due date, appropriate use of power, and aligns with your mission. Written in correct SMART format.
- Yellow light- The idea is sound but lacks leadership, challenge, timeline, alignment to mission, challenge, power, due date, or SMART format
- Red light- Bad idea for project. Start over
