Note: This is the only Process Post that will pertain to your Analytical Research Paper. All of your other Process Posts will function as preparation for your Symposium Presentation.

1. Locate threeartifacts that you might want to use for your PSA. Given our course theme, your artifact should portray a form of protest (image or video of: a rally, march, “hands up don’t shoot” pose, “die-in,” blocking traffic, hoodie, tape over mouth, etc.) or be a form of protest from the Black Lives Matter movement (sample tweets from a highly used hashtag related to the movement, a music video or song lyrics, a poster, a highly circulated meme, a highly circulated youtube or buzzfeed type video that speaks rhetorically for the movement). Video clips should be no longer than 5 minutes. You should choose artifacts that have some connection to the book you are reading from our course booklist. (The connection between your artifact and your book doesn’t have to be completely obvious, but you should be able to conceive of and articulate a relationship between the two.)
2. For artifacts that are still images, cut and paste the image into your Process Post document. For artifacts that are clips, give a one-sentence description of the clip and the URL where it can be found.
3. Write 100-150 wordsper artifact answering these three questions:

• What form of protest do you see represented in the artifact, or is the artifact itself a form of protest (see the above suggestions of artifacts if you don’t understand this question)?
• What aspect(s) of this artifact can be understood as part the Black Lives Matter Movement or the issues the movement seeks to address?
• What connections do you see between this artifact and the book you are reading from our course booklist?
