a.How does psychology explain why people engage in harmful behaviours (or do not engage in health enhancing behaviours)? You should focus on the types of behaviours highlighted in your wellness plan.
b.It is likely that you will refer to concepts discussed in lectures such as the Health Beliefs Model, Theory of Planned Behaviour, Stress, Motivation, and Personality. Please choose the theories or models that are most relevant to the behaviour change topics you have focussed upon as behavioural pathogens or immunogens.
c.Refer to your wellness plan. To what extent have you made progress in achieving the goals set out in the plan? From a psychological perspective what has helped and what has hindered your progress? For example, have you planned changes in your health behaviour, met with any barriers to change or do you anticipate any problems with maintaining such changes? In this way the aim is to consider psychological theory in a very applied way in terms of changes in your own health behaviour.
