The four main topic scrutinized are: the major elements and dimensions of culture in the region, how the elements and dimensions are integrated by locals conducting business in the nation, how both of the prior items compare with culture in the United States culture including business, and lastly the implications for business in the United States that wish to conduct business in South Korea
South Korea is an interesting nation that has consistently become more prominent amongst nations in the region. While Japan has always been the most dominant nation, South Korea is gaining in popularity as a nation that is building an economically sound financial infrastructure to compete with Japan.
Unfortunately for South Korea, the efforts and gains made by their nation has repeatedly been overshadowed by the threats and issues that arise from their neighbors, North Korea.
In 1997, South Korea was in a serious financial crisis, at which point a bailout was completed and South Korea has begun to grow with a large number of nonregular part-time employees (Shin, 2013).
Now that there is some back ground to the financial plights of South Korea, we will discuss several important topics including communication in South Korea, popular religions, ethics and values that South Koreans live by their daily life and business culture, importance of personal relationships, and a comparison of the United States of America and the Republic of South Korea.
