LEARNING OUTCOME:
This assessment is designed to engage you in a comparative analysis of a range of government
(public) policies for sport in Australia, so that you develop a critical understanding of the ways in
which such policies are developed and implemented.
ASSESSMENT TOTAL:
This assessment is an individual student task (it is not done in groups).
Your written analysis is worth 50% of your total assessment.
Total marks = 50 (Content [45 marks] + Presentation [5 marks]).
DUE DATE & HOW TO SUBMIT:
Your policy analysis is due Friday June 3
rd
by 4:00pm.
It will be submitted by uploading your analysis through the link at the bottom of the LMS page.
WORD LIMIT:
You are required to individually complete 1 x 2,500-word written report (your cover page and
reference list are excluded from your word count).
As you are addressing seven policy problems, each one should be covered in approximately 300 words
(i.e. 7 policy problems x 300 words each = approx. 2,100 words)
This leaves approximately 400 words for your synthesis statement (conclusion).
