Prompt: What do you make of Cellini’s relations with his patrons? On a very few occasions, both he and his patron are happy; more often, both of them are frustrated and furious. When things go well, why do they go well? When things end in a blowup, as with Duke Cosimo and the Perseus, is it because the patron is unwilling to supply what Cellini wants, or because he is unable to understand what Cellini wants?
