AC 1.2: Ensuring you fulfil the potential entry requirements

You should also note the open days that you wish to attend, and any dates that you are already aware of.
If you have already attended open days, you will still need to provide an answer to this question. Provide information about the different open days you have attended including the dates you were there, list the areas that asked about and/or discussed, and outline any activities that you carried out.
AC 1.3: Extract the full value to be gained from Open Days
Write a list of questions about the costs of HE study and the possible sources of financial support that you should ask each university/college that you are considering for your HE studies.

AC 1.4: Understanding HE study costs and financial support available
You now need to carry out research about the different universities/colleges you are interested in applying to by finding the answers to the areas you have outlined in your responses to questions 3, 4 and 5 above.
When you have completed your research you need to produce a table/chart or spreadsheet that outlines the main factors, qualities, key features and detailed entry requirements for each university/college.
You need to research a minimum of 3 universities or degree courses.
When you have completed the table/spreadsheet, you need to write a short statement about how useful this activity was in terms of helping you to decide which universities to apply to, and any conclusions you have come to. For example, your research may have helped you to discount a particular establishment, or that you wish to consider other locations.
GUIDANCE
Please include the name of each university and the title of each degree within your table/spreadsheet.
You must include in your table/spreadsheet the actual information you have gathered and not yes/no responses or ticks.
The information gathered also needs to be put into your own words and not be copied from websites.

AC 1.5: Researching different HE providers
Write an initial draft of your personal statement.
GUIDANCE
Please ensure that you have thoroughly read the guidance in your study materials about what you should include in a personal statement.
Your draft does not need to be perfect, but it should be as complete as possible.
You must write a minimum of 2,500 characters, and a maximum of 4,000 characters (not words!).
