STR/581 – Alternative Assignment
An alternative Capstone Project is being considered for the STR/581, Strategic Planning and Implementation course. Would you please provide your thoughts related to the proposal?
Purpose: The purpose of the alternative capstone assignment is to provide students experience in assessing and developing a strategic plan with an active business.
Student Tasks: Students must form a team of 3-4 in order to complete this project. It will take the entire course to complete the assignment. The students will select the organization and secure the commitment from the leader of the organization. The business/organization can be their current organization, a division of a company, or another outside organization where they have a contact. For-profit and non-profit organizations should be considered. The arrangement letter form must be signed by all parties before the project can begin.
