In this assignment, you will discuss the influence of social policy on the practices of human services agencies. You will learn that as administrators of agencies, you will be responsible for having accurate knowledge of these policies in addition to implementing the agency’s operating standards.
Tasks:
Using your textbook, the online library, and the Internet, respond to the following:
• Discuss the policies that have influenced or continue to influence the provision of direct services to clients. Specifically, discuss the general practice standards that protect the rights of clients and the legal parameters of work in the bureaucracy of agencies.
• Discuss the effects of working in an environment with many different regulatory guidelines for providing services.
• Select a policy and discuss two factors in the policy that influence how service providers work with clients; especially focus on how clients are matched to services.
Post your responses in a minimum of 250-300 words. Your response should rely upon at least two sources from professional literature—articles from peer-reviewed journals and relevant textbooks. Write in a clear, concise, and organized manner; demonstrate ethical scholarship in accurate representation and attribution of sources (i.e., APA format); and use accurate spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
