Good Morning and Welcome City Council Members. My name is simon and I speak on behalf of myself and the rest of my team. My team and I have been selected to represent our community in a proposal for a Recreational and Family Center for our community. The Recreational and Family Community Center is to help the children in our community for continued development, educational activities, sports, and counseling. Throughout this proposal you will be able to see how this center will provide a better future for our children and children to come. The Recreational and Family Community Center will provide five separate rooms each pertaining to certain age groups from infancy to adolescence. The center will also consist of an inside/outside activity areas that will include a playground, tennis court, picnic area, and pool. We will provide specialty classes that teach swimming, dance, sports, music, and art. We will have counselors to assist our members with an assortment of different issues. The children will receive great counsel from our employees and volunteers that will be with them for their stay at the community center. Our goal is to improve the minds of all the children in our community. We want to educate our adolescents for what they may encounter in their future. We can do all this with your help. Thank you for your time. ROOM #1 – Infant Room Ages 0-1 Room one will be for our infant’s ages 0-1. Our employees and volunteers will supply a safe and stable area for infants coming into this new and strange environment. Our employees will be certified in First Aid and CPR. Our center knows how important the infancy stage is and we will help them learn new and exciting things; such as hearing, touching, looking, sucking, and grasping. We will also have areas to feed the infants in their own clean high chair. Our infant’s room would not be complete without a clean area for the babies to crawl, a feel and touch center, soothing music station, color station, and rocking chairs to soothe the babies if needed. Our infant’s room will be away from the other rooms that way they can have naps and not be overwhelmed by the noise the other rooms may create.
